The house was built in the 1700s and a number of people in the guest book refer to it as a cottage (see the Testimonials page). The accommodation is laid out over two floors. The first room you arrive in after entering the house via a small courtyard is the kitchen, which has beamed-roof and an open fireplace. It is equipped with a gas/electric hob, a small oven and microwave and a dishwasher, along with everything else would would expect (pans, kettle, crockery etc) for rustling up your Provençal masterpiece.

To the right of the kitchen is the sitting-room, which has a wonderful vaulted ceiling and an open fireplace. The sofa converts to a bed.
Going up the stairs leads you to a second sitting room which has a futon in it, and which leads to the bedroom. You can also see the stairs to the top terrace in the picture below
The bedroom has a window in it (partially shown in this picture) that allows you to see the Luberon mountains whilst lying in bed.
Finally, and where you will probably be spending most of your time is the top terrace (there is another shaded terrace by the bedroom). Hours can be spent sun-bathing, reading, eating (we have a small BBQ) or simply taking in the wonderful 360-degree view, including the stunning Lubéron mountains.
House Equipment There is a washing machine in the bathroom (no dryer, but there is a line on the terrace hidden by the lights), a dish-washer, a CD player, stove, combination oven/grill/microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, cafétière, a raclette, pans, crockery, iron and ironing board. There are NO towels or sheets, so please bring your own (these can be bought in the local supermarket for under 20 Euros if required). There are two loungers and 2 deck-chairs for the terrace. There is also a sun-shade that comes out to cover the whole terrace on very hot days. The winder is behind the terrace door. Finally, there are two front-suspension bikes for you to use in the cellar, as well as a BBQ.
General You should arrive in the day-time as the house is easier to find by day, and there are four keys required to enter the house. If you do intend to arrive at night, bring a torch. The front door is green (the video shows a red door but we recently painted it. The two keys (identicallly shaped) for the front door unlock the opposite way you are used to , i.e. anti-clockwise. The key for the inside door should be inserted upside down. The rubbish should be place in two communal bins found on the slope up to the house. There is also a recycling area 100 yards down the hill from La Clementine restaurant. How to Find the House
To find our house, look for the pharmacy which is off the street to the left of the cafe as you look at it. Go up the steep hill with the travel agency on the corner, (you can see its yellow sign and the pharmacy in this picture) turn the corner at the top and right again into an alley. Our green door is on the left.
